Empagreat-Trio 25/1000 Tablet ER is a medicine used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. It works by reducing sugar production and improving insulin action. It also removes excess glucose, thereby helping to maintain better blood sugar control. Empagreat-Trio 25/1000 Tablet ER should be taken exactly as prescribed. It can be taken with or without food. Regular dosing is important to keep blood sugar under control. Do not skip or stop doses without medical advice, as this can lead to uncontrolled diabetes. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, but do not double the dose. The most common side effects include hypoglycemia, headache, thirst, constipation, increased urination, and urinary tract infections. Some patients may experience low blood sugar when taken with insulin or sulfonylureas. Rarely, dehydration, excessive thirst, or ketoacidosis may occur. Empagreat-Trio 25/1000 Tablet ER should not be used in patients with severe kidney failure, end-stage kidney disease, or dialysis. It is contraindicated in those with metabolic acidosis or diabetic ketoacidosis. Caution should be exercised in those with frequent urination or genital infections, dehydration, heart failure, or low blood pressure. It should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless clearly needed. Regular monitoring of kidney function, blood sugar, and hydration status is recommended.
